Do firewalls run on WinXP if logged off?

  Mattski 18:40 08 Nov 2003

I've got Norton Personal Firewall running on Windows XP Pro, on an always on broadband connection with a fixed IP address. If no one is logged in to the machine, is the Firewall still running and providing protection?

Thanks for any help on this!

"If no one is logged in to the machine, is the Firewall still running"....

Whats the machine doing if no-ones logged on?

Thanks for the info - I use remote desktop to get to the machine from home. When I log out, no one's logged in, but the machine has to stay on so I can reach it again.
