Go to start, run, type

services.msc

look for dns client, make sure it's enabled, if it's disabled, set it to automatic.

Repair the connection, flush the dns cache.

iv stopped and started this dns client, but the problem still exists.

refresh

The DHCP Client service may be holding onto the cache. To find out, turn it off while you attempt to flush it, but disconnect the client from the router before doing that.

still wont work?

  ade.h 17:09 19 Aug 2006

Well, maybe there is an alternative cure for your problem, since this question arose only while trying to fix another issue. Tell us what that issue is and perhaps we can sort it.
