Can anyone explain to me whether DMA(direct memory access)should have the check box ticked or unticked.This is with regards to 'Device Manager'CDROM and Disk Drives.

If your system/Drives support DMA then leave the tick in place, equals faster read/write of data to drives.

You can tell if drives don't support DMA as they will not work if the box is ticked.

Ok thanks Djohn,my pc works fine when DMA is enabled,so i'll take your advice.
