having built my very first pc jus recently, i have learned the stress it can involve.

Using a ASRock K7S8XE motherboard and an AMD Athlon XP 1800+ with a Geforce 4 MX AGP card, the system used to crash (Blue screen of death!), randomly, while installing windows xp, office, and other software.

i though this was AGP and M/B driver problem so i updated this but still the system crashed, then i came across a forum where someone else had a similar problem.

it mentioned about decreasing the RAM bus speed, i have a one stick of 512 DDR 2700 pc333, so i decreased the bus speed.... and guess wot... no more crashes!!
