Distorted Sound

  ArrGee 12:13 06 May 2007

Having re-installed XP Pro on a pc, all the sounds are now lower in volume and distorted.

I've checked the cabels, updated drivers, but to no avail.

This applies to all sounds from the PC, including WMP and QuickTime.

Any ideas?

Have you configured Sounds and Audio Devices from Control Panel and also checked that all required sounds are Enabled (Play and Recording) from the Volume icon in the Notification area?

Yup, done that too.

Just downloading the Realtek driver now.
