Display Drivers.

Each time I update my Nvidia display drivers I remove the previous version.

However I have discovered that I still have 9 previous driver versions still installed on my computer totaling over 800mbs.

Can anybody advise if it will be OK to remove these old drivers.

Thanks.

Download Drive Cleaner Pro (it's freeware despite the title) and use it to clean out old nVidia entires.

It also covers other drivers such as ATi.

Just follow the instructions with care.

The old drivers are there in case you need to `roll back` for any reason. However, if you are certain you are never going to need them you should be able to remove them. It could be wise to keep the last couple `just in case` though, or perhaps the installation files.

Not true. They can prove a problem with new drivers and software, which is the reason for using Drive Cleaner Pro.

For some excellent and comprehensive advice on graphics cards and drivers, see:

Thanks to those who replied.

And in particular Stuartli for the links and advice.

It amazes me how you guys find these things no matter how many times I google a problem I never seem to find the answer.

Just hope this forum is always available.

Tony.

"It amazes me how you guys find these things no matter how many times I google a problem I never seem to find the answer." - changing the search words/making them fewer/etc works wonders for me :-), G
