A disk error accord

Hi everyone,I just finish building my pc and during bootup the message "A Disk error accord" press ctl+alt+del to restart. There is no A drive as there is no floppy and the connector on the mother board is not connected. BIOS also shows that there is no A Drive. Any idea what this error could mean?

Is there a hard drive attached?

Any operating system loaded onto it?

Yes to both questions. Thanks.

yup, very simple.

Its not to do with the A: , incedentally you have turned of the floppy controller in the BIOS havent you?

Disk read error is referring to your C: .

Its either a failed install or a faulty HD .

You say you just built your system, did you re-install windows? , wether the answer is yes or no, try re-installing again, if the problem re-occurs , it looks like a faulty HD im afraid.
