What defragger are you using? If it's the default XP defragger, then you won't find any references to Diskeeper in the services list.
If you are indeed using the full version of Diskeeper (i.e. the commercial version) then you will find "Diskeeper" or a variation thereof listed in the services column and you should set it to automatic. Also, you should make sure that the Event Log service is enabled and running...I think that is necessary for defrag to run.

stuartli many thanks go system tools , shows disk defrag same result could not start, xp standard program defrag dont use any thing else disk keeper if i only use standard xp can i forget this and stop looking for it
