Hello

Please could someone tell me the most reliable disc back up.
Is it DVD-R
• DVD+R
• DVD-RW
• DVD+RW
• DVD-RAM

Is DVD+R write once the one to choose for example - permanent photo/data back up
I am totally confused.
Thanks

for something as valuable as back up,i would suggest an external hard drive, theses are reasonably priced and depending on the amount of data, may actually save you in the long run.
If it is in addition to your external hard drive, ie second back up,from your list i would pick dvd-r or dvd+r (if your dvd rewriter supports both types).
Also for about £15 to 20 acronis true image back up software would be a wise investment, this will clone your whole drive and would save you loads of time should the unthinkable happen

if discs are not 2nd back up

but shop about if you go down this route
