is it possible to disable the graphics on this mobo?

i have read the manual & there`s no mention of being able to do it.

There should be an option in the BIOS - have a look. Very likely if you have an AGP slot.

Unfortunately there is NO option to disable the onboard video.
You can only select how much memory to use, from 2 to 8 meg.

you can Download the manual here;
click here
The 530BF is the version with onboard video.

unless there is a jumper on the actual motherboard but this is not documented, so it is unlikely that it can be disabled, but maybe you can just put the new graphics card in and it will disable itself, as some motherboards do this, have you tried that

boot VGA
from PCI in the BIOS, try under "Integrated Peripherals" "Init Display
First" and set it to PCI.

I have installed the graphics card into the PCI slot but when I boot up the comp finds new hardware & searches for the driver (I presume that`s for the on board graphics?)

If i was to set VGA shared memory to "none", would that be the same as disabling?

you need to install the drivers for your pci graphics card, the searching for driver will be for the new graphics card.

set it to none
