Can anyone explain why the above interfers with the internet?. I am using Wanadoo broadband and i'm afraid they did't have the answer when I phoned up the other day. I had to use system restore to get it back.

Is it just Internet, or is it anything with graphics (i.e. 3d games)? I remember earlier in DirectX days that an upgrade would not work with the graphics card I had installed, and I had to go back to an earlier version - I thik this was about v4. I would have hoped that they were fully backward compatible by now, but with MS, you never know. Try updating your graphics drivers.

its not the card. it only seems to be the internet. its needed for colin mcrea 2005. i had the problem when i tried the demo.

I downloaded and installed this driver a couple of days ago and noticed that my games had become 'laggy'. Have now removed it and everything seems to back to normal.
As the previous post said, maybe yours and my graphics cards are not quite up to date enough for the 'C' version.

my graphics card is a radeon 9600 256mg
