digital camera xd memory or sd memory

just a quickie have been looking at digital cameras and have come across xd and sd memory

is their any major difference between the two or one to be avoided
or much of a much

any input appreciated

The simplest and shortest answer is:

No and No.

There used to be a difference in the price at one time but that seems to have gone now.

I have two cameras. One takes CompactFlash and the other Secure Digital or Multimedia. (SD and MMC) there is no difference between them.

XD cards are usually used in Fujifilm digital cameras
