Anyone got any ideas about where I can buy software to make diagrams, using specifically Heptagons ?

Serif DrawPlus might do the job for you - free and worth a try at least.

Draw Plus is great just for drawing heptagons or other quick polygons. If you want flowcharts with linked shapes, however, ABC Snapgraphics is even easier. Ages since I used it though on Windows 3.1. Version 1.0 is free from: click here

More about version 2.0 click here

Visio is good for all sorts of diagrams - flowcharts, office plans etc. You can create your own shapes etc. You don't need a recent version - pick up an older version from Ebay or similar.
