device driver problems with xp

I have just installed windows xp and it dose'nt like my cd writing drivers. I have been using winoncd 3.7 that came with my computer. Microsoft help directs me to a Roxio site to get an update but i'm blessed if i can find it. (I don't think Roxio want to support winoncd and would like me to buy new) My writer is a plexwrite 12/10/32a and looking for drivers or their site sends me to a site that's no longer available. If i need to use another software writing program how do i get the [device drivers for cd writing are unstable and will not be loaded] from popping up from my system tray?
Ie. how do i get rid of the old drivers?

You should not need any drivers for a cd writer in xp . Ahead Nero software is excellent writing software compatable with most drives.
