Device driver crash - symtdi.sys

My pc has lately started doing some odd things - and on a couple of occasions on shut down I have had a blue screen with device driver problems described. Most recently the driver with the problem is symtdi.sys which I believe is a Symantec file (I run Norton AV2005). Does the driver need reinstalling and if so how do I do it?
The pc runs xp pro sp2 & is wirelessly networked to a router.

Thanks timeteam that helps. Also explains why the problems started. I uninstalled the speedtouch USB modem software I had been using before getting the wireless connection but then had to reinstall it as it caused no end of crashing problems so this is probably all linked.
