You should be aware that you will not then be able to tell what is a shortcut and what is not, fro just lookin at them
And there is a very important difference - you can delete a shortcut from the desktop, with no adverse effects other than replacing it. If you do this with a non-shortcut file, you delete the actual file.
Why is it so desperate simply not to have the arrow?
DieSse sorry to be a perfectionist but I just find the arrows annoy! When running 98 I remember losing the arrows and enjoying a clutter free desktop. I dont mean to diss U but I just dont like em take your point though
Cannot understand that I have 2 pcs both running WinXP Home and using TweakUI for WinXP does the trick. Have just tried it again,you can use very small arrow which is bearly noticeable[perhaps that may suit you]which I did,than removed it and it works.
