My daughter has just reformatted her computer (Windows XP Home) It seems to work okay but the Desktop Icons appear to be smaller than they were previously. Does anyone know how to change the size please?

Thank you

Right click the desktop select propeties/apperance/effects.tick the use large icons button if its not,or select/settings advanced and change DPI size to what u want.

Try this

1. Right click the desktop
2. Click on the settings tab
3. Click on advanced
4. You will see a drop down list for the DPI settings
5. Select large size
6. Click apply and OK
7. You will be prompted to restart, do it and all should be ok for the icon size

Thank you Acolyte and scannerman for your replies, she had tried what you suggest but it had no affect. In the end she gave up and turned the computer off, however, when she next turned it on to try reformatting it again to see if that would cure the problem, she found that everything had returned to normal size. (The wonders of XP!!!)
Thank you again.
