Dell Wi-Fi Mini card

I have a Dell Wi-Fi Mini card on my card, which, I suppose means I can connect to the net via that instead of by modem but, I have absolutely no idea how to do it!

Help please!!!

The wireless mini card means that your computer (Laptop?) is capable of connecting to the internet wirelessly. To use it to receive the wireless signal you must have a wireless router to broadcast the wireless signal. Your Broadband ISP will usually supply the router. Do you have a broadband connection and how do you connect to it. On a Dell laptop you can turn on the wireless card by holding down the Fn key and pressing [usually] the F2 key. When turned on, the wireless card will also let you connect to a hotspot at a library, cafe, train station, hotel, etc. but you will likely have to pay to connect to those hotspots.

Thank you so much.

A very succinct and useful reply which answers my question.
