Dell Inspiron 1520 problems

Hey guys...,
I`m an owner of a Inspiron 1520 notebook, and it has 2 major problems:
1. The left speaker vibrates even when listen to music, or watch a movie (starts at a 40% volume), like the membrane were broken. This issue appears even when vista starts (the vista welcoming sound)
2.The dvd writer makes a very loud noise whenever it reads an cd/dvd, like something inside the mechanism is scratching the cd/dvd (although this is not happening phisically)
I`ve talked to a Dell online agent, who identified this issues too, and recommended me to send the notebook to service. I just did that, but the answer i got from them was as follows:
1.The speaker vibrates due to a metalic part from the PCMCIA Cardbus port
2. The noise is normally, they have put another dvd writer to the noise test and is the same.
So please help me deal with this, whom should i talk to? someone from Dell?UK or Ireland (made in Ireland says on the notebook) At least some pice of advice.....I would really appreciated !
Thanks a lot !
