hi all,
im having a bit of a problem with getting a new laptop, which one would i be better off getting.
studio 15 Core 2 Duo Processor P8600 (2.40Ghz, 3MB, 1066MHz) with 256MB ATI Mobility RADEON HD 3450 for £579 plus a 10% discount OR an XPS 1530 Core 2 Duo T6400 (2.0GHz,2MB,800MHz FSB) with NVIDIA GeForce Go 8600M GT with 256MB for £619 with a 10% discount, i will be using it for some gaming so it would be nice to be able to play gears of war or cod4 with at least half decent settings, but im looking for a decent allrounder. i cant afford anything over about 550 ish quid so a gaming machine is out the question and im not getting another desktop i need to be mobile. cheers in advance for any help.

if you have a copy of the games go to a pc world store and ask them if you can see the prog running on one of their laptops [or a similar game that they can demonstrate. This should help you make your mind up. Sorry I do not use a laptop or play games so the models quoted mean nothing to me. Normally I would expect that a faster cpu would give the best results.
