I am hving problems with icons not working as they should. I understant that if i delete this file rebuild will automatically happen on rebootcould anyone tell me how to delete this file,I am running xp home get a little confused at the dos prompt.Think the shelliconcache folder became currupt after downloading some themes a while ago.thanks

Often wondered myself, how do you change to a %systemroot% folder?
Start, Run, type incmdand click OK. Then follow the instructions in the "click here".
You just type it as is "%systemroot%" (without the quotes). It is an Environment Variable click here

Sorry. At the > prompt, typeCD %systemroot%and press the Enter key.
VOG typed in CD %systemroot% says cannot find file or path?
sorry no joy with CD C:\windows Is it possible to delete this file manually?
