deleting from recycle bin

when i delete stuff from my recycle bin how can i permantley remove it from my computer because i am trying to free up space on me hard drive !!!!! thanks peeps !

you can try disk clean up

You don't have to - when you remove it from the recycle bin, the space is automatically allocated as available space.

Its is a far as windows is concerned and so the free space should show up. I had a case where this wasn't happening once and it turned out it was down to a norton protected recycle bin emptying the norton protected files and then turning off that function sorted that out.

Try clearing out your system restore points as these can take up a fair ammount of disk space right click hard drive | properties | disk clean up | more options tab there is a button to clear out system restore points or just turn off system restore and then back on again.
