Deleting pictures from hard drive

I have a problem of deleting picture files on the hard drive. When I highlight them, and hit delete key, they make another copy of them. How can I stop them from re-copying.

Are you using control+shift to highlight pics.

Thats control or shift.

What about right click then delete? Does that not work?

I agree with Fingees, right click the photo you don't want, and then you compress the delete key and hey presto it should be dull confined to the rubbish bin - or recycle bin, then you just empty the bin and it should be done.
Hope this helps!
