Deleting old MSN Messenger accounts

Hi I have an Acer desktop with Intel Celeron running XP.

MSN Messenger itself works fine but my problem is I want to get rid of several old/incorrect accounts.

When I log out of my default account you can log back in as......... and I want to stop these being displayed.

I have tried uninstalling / reinstalling MSN Messenger. Also have tried a search on all then unused accounts and deleting all reference of them.

All to no avail.

Anyone any ideas ?

Thanx G0lfer

(1) In Start —> Run, enter:
control userpasswords2

(2) In the “Advanced Tab” look for “Manage Passwords”, which takes care of all the .Net passport passwords on your machine.

Is your syntax right ?

I tried exactly that but no box appears.
