Deleting data on DVD - RW disks

  sheila.weston 17:28 12 Apr 2006

I have just burnt some data onto a DVD-RW disk. I want to remove it and start again but a message came up saying that I 'couldn't delete data on this drive'. It is in the CD/DVD drive. What have I done wrong?

If you are using Nero. Open nero express, click on more/erase disk.

Many thanks, Brynit. As always, it is easy when you know how!

You should be able to do it through windows by right clicking on the dvd drive in my computer and chooseing erase with disc in drive.

Windows is not capable of writing to or erasing DVDs only CDs. You need a program such a Nero to do this.

Yes, that was my original problem - I tried to erase the files on the disk via Explorer.

Many thanks all.
