I think I know the answer to this but here goes.I had my outlook email set show my O2 web mail emails.I have recently done s system restore on my PC as I'm about to sell it.In the meantime I need an important email I received in my Outlook inbox. I thought by logging onto the O2 web mail account online I would see the same email I received my outlook inbox. But unfortunaltely it's not there. Would I be right in thinking any emails sent to my O2 account were diverted to Outlook and therefore would never appear on my O2 account?Like I said at the start I think I know the answer. Can anyone help?
The system restore should not have removed the emailIs it in the deleted mail folder?
System Restore should not have deleted the e-mail.Can you confirm whether you mean Outlook (which version?) or Outlook Express.
It's Outlook from office 2003. The PC is a Dell and you can send it back to it's delivery settings when you press CTRL + F11 at boot up then select system restore. Does that make sense?
Unless you have gone into account settings and selected leave a copy of messages on server all e-mails would have been downloaded to your computer. As you have selected to restore to factory settings everything on your computer will have been lost unless you backed up you files to another drive. If by any chance you copied or backed up your outlook.pst file before the system restore you should be able to recover all e-mails from this file.
