Delete and reallocate partition in vista

I want to delete the windows 7 partition i have, from within vista and re allocate the space to the vista drive,

do i just go to disk management in vista, right click win7 partition, delete vlume?

then will there be an option to reallocate?

I would say yes, You will have to check for Merge

I think it would be simpler to just reformat the partition and use it for data.

Before you do the Above Formating it is no good as you are dual booting, does it start with XP as Default OS? if it does you may get away with removing partition

Does it say unallocated space? if it does create a Partition on it. then format it in windows

vista is my main os, the computer came unparitioned with vista on, i then created the partition a while back to dual boot windows 7

i no wish to remove the partition <which i have done> but now have unallocated space which i cant reallocate

Problem you are having is the Boot.ini File in Root of C:\ as when you deleted it the file will still be for dual boot. You may need to edit the file in Notepad to single boot under multi it should be set to (0)

so if i reboot now will i have problems :s

it must be hidden, one sec i will look
