delete operating system

hi all, I've re-installed xp as "new installation" on the same hard drive (and same partition so it overwrote exsisting xp folder). This is working fine but at the boot menu I still have the previous xp and even my windows 2000 pro, both wont run so what I want to ask is:

How do I delte the two operating system I dont have?

I know they dont exsist as my xp overwrote them and I can disable the boot menu but I want to delete all thier leftover folders as Im using 10gb when nothing is installed or on my hard drive and I believe thier files from the other os's. Thanks in advance :)

It would be better in the long run if you formatted the drive and did a clean install of XP, Nonnyriley.
