Delete blank pages in Word 2000?

  albu 11:20 17 Apr 2004

What's the best way to delete blank pages in a word document? I have tried clicking on the show/hide button to see the paragraph formatting symbols, deleting these but the last symbol doesn't delete so the blank page remains.

Any help please?
Many Thanks

Go to the last character in the page prior to the one that you want to delete and press the delete key (not the backspace key).

That should do it.

1. In Normal view, press CTRL+END to go to the end of the document.

2. Click the Show/Hide button on the Standard toolbar to see extra paragraph marks at the end of your document.

3. Do one of the following:
Press the BACKSPACE key to delete additional paragraph marks.
Point to the manual page break, select it, and then press DELETE.

4. Click Show/Hide again to hide the paragraph marks and other types of formatting in your document.

just click at the top of it, so your cursor is placed there, and then press the backspace key until the page vanishes.
