Default gateway

I've recently bought a belkin g+ router 802.11g one.
It has been set up and was working fine, I used the browser and typed in the default gateway to set a password for the conection and it was successful. When I closed the page my router stopped transmitting a signal and when I tried to find it's default gateway, there was nothing there.

Um so how can I find the default gateway for it?

Open explorer and type in 192.168.1.1

If this does not open the router window then you may need to reset it or right click the taskbar icon and select 'repair'...

I think the default for Belkin routers is 192.168.2.1, at least on the ones I have set up before .

Are you connecting by wireless or cable when setting the router up ? ( strongly recommend cable )
