Default download location in XP

Hi there,

When I download a file in XP it always tries to save it in My Documents.

How can I change the defualt download location to the Desktop?

Strongly suggest you create a folder in My Documents and call it Downloads or something similar.
Sticking files on the desktop is not a good idea as they tend to be left there.
The desktop is an active part of Windows and the more clutter that is put on there then that's all the more that has to be waded through so your computer will slow down
What browser are you using ?

I hear your suggestion, but anyway I would still like to download stuff to the desktop.

If I did make the folder you suggest, I would still need to specify that folder as the default download location, and I don't know how to do that.

I am using IE 7, which I still prefer over Firefox 2, although I have both browsers installed.
