HI All

I know we should pay for our software products but does anyone know of any free anti virus software which is good to have on board and wont take up system resource like norton.

Has anyone good anything good or bad to say about free anti virus software?

For free I prefer Avast - but it does take up resources.

Best all round - detection, speeed, low overhead, support is NOD32 30 day trial - then you pay a yearly sub - more than well worth it click here

Avast is my favourite. A friend's computer picked up a virus. Norton didn't find it (possibly disabled by the virus). I uninstalled Norton and installed Avast which detected and cleared the virus immediately after rebooting.
