My motherboard has the CMOS reset header back to back with a fan header. When trying to reset the BIOS settings, I managed to put the jumper across the +12V and GND of the fan header (middle aged, fading eye sight !). I now have a PC that won't POST !
My LAN card LED is lit - so something in the PSU is alive (eg not a fuse problem)
Any suggestions as to what to try next to diagnose which component I've killed ?
