My laptop is dead. Its not been used for a while and even then you had to wiggle the connector when it was connected via the battery charger. Research seems to point to the dc socket in the laptop having come loose or the connections have broken. Any other thoughts / solutions appreciated.
I'll be honest with you the solderings no problem but I only once dismantled a laptop. 2 hours to dismantle it, 3 days to rebuild it. I wouldn't be keen to do it again. Desktops are easy to work on laptops are not, hence they charge a lot for repairs. Mind you if you did do it and had a problem you'd be no worse off.
