Hello to everyone on this my very first posting!
My PC a Gateway GT3022B has integrated graphics on the Intel D945GCZ Mainboard which I am planning to upgrade with an add-on graphics card.
My problem is whether I can fit the following card which seems to be ideal for my requirements XFX GeForce 7600GT 256MB DDR3 PCIE Dual DVI HDTV OUT.I have the necessary PCI Express 16 slot but the big question is whether the card is compatible with my Samsung 1024 MB DDR2 RAM memory on the Board.
Is the graphic card memory independent of the DDR2 RAM or do I need a graphic card with DDR2 memory? Eddie

DDr3 and DDr2 are different things in the context you refer to. It wont make an ounce of difference. Get the card and enjoy gaming.

It will not be any problem at all. Graphics card memory is totally independent of the system memory and not influenced by it.
