DDR Memory and X Ray

Following an upgrade to my current computer I now have a surplus 256 MB DDR SIMM. I would like to add this to my friends computer when I visit them in Holland next month.
Will the X Ray scanner at the Airport damage the memory chip ?
Is it better if I put it in hand luggage or suitcase?

SanDisk ships over a million flash memory cards per week, any issues from security devices would quickly become apparent, but the company has received fewer than a dozen reports per year of problems with airport security systems.
I would conclude that since sd memory cards and the like are safe then your ram in an anti static bag will be no prob. After all millions of ram units are also imported/exported each year.

My Sony laptop has been airport X-ray machines quite a lot of times; no adverse effects. Before that, my old Toshiba never experienced problems.
