Hi I have a pc mobo that did have 512Mb pc 4200 DDR1 RAM, I cannot seem able to find a replacement for this, can I use DDR2 or does it need to be DDR1?
I really don't want to have to get a new mobo bundle if i can get away with it because my graphics card is AGP and when looking all new mobo's are PCi ex. so i will have to get a new card as well...
any help would be greatly appreciated
System is
Medion intel P4 2.8GHz
512Mb PC4200 DDR RAM
256Mb graphics card (nvidiaFx5200)
250w PSU
many thanks in advance

No DDR2 is not backwards compatable to work in a DDR motherboard.

Try crucial for your ram click here run a scan with the crucial software and they will tell you what ram will fit.
