ddr backwards compatible?

just a thought. have a pc with a busted up mobo that has 256mb of 266 mhz ddr ram i have found a replacement that says it takes 333mhz ddr
, would the old ram work in it?

Yes - you will need to set the BIOS to run appropriately with it. I'm actally doing just this in my system at present.

It will run at the speed of the slowest memory installed - you can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear.
