Having just purchased a new mainboard, I decided to upgrade my memory, as the motherboard could accept ddr 3200, I bought a samsung branded 512 stick of memory as my motherboard had been tested against some similar samsung branded memory. I have read other peoples reports of system instabilty using this speed memory, so I wasn't totally confident it would work. All seemed fine after install, until after about a hour of playing a game the pc shut itself down. This has happened a few times now. Always after playing a game for about a hour or so. Is there ways around the problem. I was using 2100 before this which working with no problems.

i used to have similar problems when i was playing MOHAA and Max Payne, i tried reducing my system load by under clocking my pc, or changing my memory settings to a lower frequency, this did the trick.

I currently use a 1700 400fsb im going to upgrade to a 2800 533fsb, will this have any effect or would I be better off selling the ddr 400 and buy ddr333(2700)
