Date format in Windows

Is it possible to have the date of files in folders, and also the 'Sent', etc, dates in Outlook Express, to read day-month-year? Mine are all month-day-year, I would like the English way. Any advice much appreiated.

If you are using XP go to Control Panel - Regional and Language Options - Customise - and change the Short Date Format to be how you want it - click Apply and OK.

Sorry - after Customize click Date tab - then as above

Regional language options re-set it to English (United Kingdom) should get you there
