Wait for the more knowledgeable to report but a new CMOS Battery would seem to be in order.

Easy to replace and only £1, or so, to buy, in almost any Supermarket.

About the size of a 10p piece on the motherboard, with a number like CM032. Don't take it out until you are ready to replace it.

Get the replacement > Take the old one out > Instal the new one and, with luck, that should be it.

Any problems with replacing battery? Is it simply take out replace then f2 for set up with date and time?I do not have to mess with anything else do I? Thanks

That will sort out the date

Your BIOS will have reset to defaults as the old battery went Flat.

You will probably get away with not changing any thing else but its worth looking in your motherboard manual to see if anything else could be adjusted for better performance.

One of my old PCs used to reduce the cpu speed at default settings.

However if you are not sure then just set time and date only
