My daughter wishes to hold recipes on a database that will allow her simple sorts such as Starter, Mains, Deserts etc plus the facility to search for a particular word. She would like to be able to cut and paste from Word or copy a jpeg scanned image direct to the database (I appreciate that she may not be able to search for a particular word in this latter case)

I have MS Access and this is too complicated. Has anyone found a good simple basic freeware program such as the old Cardbox (cardfile?) was many years ago. I have found one or two programs that purport to be free but expire after 3 months, so not much good.

Not used it, so no idea how user friendly or not.

radi8tor - This program is not free requiring payment after a trial period; thanks anyway.

Belatucadrus - this program looks closest to what she is seeking. She is evaluating this at present.

Thanks all so far. Any other suggestions?
