Data Execution Prevention ?

  zeppman 12:24 12 Aug 2006

Every time I try to open a film or music on my G Drive I get a message (To help protect your computer,Windows has closed this program.)
Name: Windows Explorer
Publisher: Microsoft Corporation

If i close the message that folder closes and only if I drag the message to the bottom of the screen and play video clip or music will it work?
What can I do to stop this happening.

Right-click on My Computer and click Properties - Advanced - Settings - Data Execution Prevention.

Click on "How does it work?" and when you are satisfied that you understand the event, click on the relevant radio button to change the settings.
