damaged audio cd's

hi guys can anyone help me plz

ive had a bit of a clean out and come across a few audio cd's that i like the problem is my pc cant read them lol there is a few scatche on them


is there any thing i can buy or download that i can use to restore them ?????

will they play in a stand alone cd if so connect this to your sound card and copy to the PC

when i try to explore whats on the disk it tells me that the it's a BLANK CD but its not because its not a rewritable cd and i played the cd only a few months ago ????


anyone know wat wrong ?????

Basically CD/DVD media is not the most secure media for storage, I used to find the humble floppy disk to be a much more secure storage media, are well progress.
