D- Drive problem

  Mr.Narinder-198866 19:06 05 Oct 2005

Window XP HOME

Try to make a copy of Photos on CD. The message came up and read.” A record able CD drive was not detected.”
I try to burn some song on to the CD and the message came.” No CD or DVD burner has been detected.
I can burn my photos using Photos onCD&DVDD by Magix. But cannot burn using XP set up.
I can use the removable disk (E) and copy to my external drive.
I can’t even burn text file on to the CD. Can only use “A” Drive (Floppy disk).

Sorry, but I don't follow what you are trying to do....

Are you trying to burn your pictures/other files using Windows XP's own CD burner tool? If so, try using something like "Nero" (click here). You can download a FREE fully working trial of Nero from the link above.

Have you got a CDRW or DVD RW installed in your PC?

I will try Nero.
I tried Window Meida player to burn some songs. The meassge was ,"Burner not dected".
I can burn my photos on to a CD by using another progarm-like Magix Photo CD & DVD 2.0. But I really want to burn some text files on to the CD instead on Flppy disk.

If I uninstall the device . How do I reinstall it?

  Fruit Bat /\0/\ 20:41 05 Oct 2005

menu at top of device manager screen ACTION

select scan for new hardware

XP will find the drive and reinstall the drivers.
