cursor shoots across window

Hi, It`s no big deal but I have never understood why the cursor shoots across a window without any guideance from me.
Dosen`t happen a lot but puzzles me.

I once knew a guy with a metal plate in his head. When he entered the office, all the cursors started doing their own thing.

You don't have a metal plate in your head, do you ?

I've had that happen to me now and again. One day I noticed that the mouse was moving ever so slightly on the mouse mat on its own accord because the cable was twisted and it doesn't take much movement at the mouse end to make it shoot across the screen. Some mice are very sensitive and move so easily especially the non roller ball mice. SPOOKY.

I perhaps should add that sometimes vibration from your PC can have the same effect.

That is certainly worth checking out as I did a virus scan, a malware scan and went through with ccleaner before I noticed that the mouse was moving on it's own.
