I have a dvd video which refuses to play due to some currupt files. I am looking for some software that will enable me to repair the video and then burn to dvd.

anyone any ideas

Are you sure the files are corrupt? Usually gunge on the playing surface is the culprit.

Copy proecton can give this result, what program are you using to copy?

intervideo win dvd creator, what i'm trying to do is remove the corrupted files then burn to disc so that it will play. The video is not copywrited.

You could try DVDShrink ,if it is not copyright the program will analyse the disk, if the analysis fails I think you will have a hard job copying it.

You could also try DVDDecrypter to make an ISO copy.

You cant remove corrupted data off a dvd video, all you have got is a coaster

  Carbonara 23:39 02 Jan 2006

My point exactly. If rsinbad can get an analysis via DVDShrink then it is not corrupt and will copy!

tried win dvd and it does play the video to the point of the currupt files and then freezes, if i select a later scene then the video continues.

not quite a coaster jakimo must be some way of removing the currupt data
