ctl-alt-delete "performance tab" ?

Hi,

sometime my PC run very slow, as if it freezes, even when no programs are "apparently" NOT running, and the mouse does not want to move.
If I select ctl alt and delete and select performance tab, I sometimes see the CPU usage bar full.
Is this normal?
Also when I look at the processes, I have a list as long as your arm, 50 in total, again is this normal?

Hi, 50 processess seems excessive - have you tried running any anti-spyware programs or ad-aware programs. Also you could clear out your Temp Internet Files and Cookies in IE - Internet Options.

Yes I have run adaware, plus others, cleared internet cookies. Also ran msconfig, so have bare min running, but why I have a list of 50 processes shown, is beyond me.
I am sure that someone within PCA will know why!!
