Hi.I have always had ctfmon.exe in start up in msconfig. Now I have read that it is not needed at start up,but every time I untick it it comes back when I reboot the computer.Am I better just leaving it ticked or is there a way to remove it without harming the computer.

Hi.Thank you both for your help.I decided to go for smackheadz method and stopped the text services running rather than deleting it as I may have needed it at a future time.It does not start in msconfig now.I was hoping that it would help start my computer a bit quicker with it switched off.But no such luck.I will give it a try for a few days and if still no difference I will turn it back on again. Many thanks will now class as resolved.
