Crashing when installing.......anything

Ever since i can remeber whenever i install and game or software, more often than not, especially on a long installation, my pc crashes, and i mean crashes as in i cant even ctrl + alt + delete. I have found that the only way to get it to install (and this may sound strange) is to fan or blow air inside my pc thro the air vents on the side of the case. As long as it has air going through it, it will install, otherwise it crashes, why is this? Im running a Daewoo CyrixInstead 6x86MX. 32MB RAM Available space on drive C: 2089MB of 3234MB (FAT32)

Maybe need to install another fan?

The computer has obviously seen a few years' service, and there may be an accumulation of dust on the motherboard and the components.

Installation routines, particularly if they are long and involved, result in the CPU and hard drive working overtime, and it's not difficult for overheating to occur and cause the crashes you're experiencing.

To be brutally honest, this hardware configuration is somewhat below that of current machines, and it may be time you thought about investing in a replacement.

Maybe need to install another fan as overheating can cause this (as can too low watt on pcu)?
